Hannah Elizabeth

My friends's sweet little darling was the perfect subject when I went to photograph her at 8 days old. She didn't mind being stipped down to her birthday suit, and obliged us with some gorgeous wide-eyed gazes, a few smiles, and peaceful snoozing.

Such a sweetheart. . . definitely the princess of the family!

My own

My sweet, new Benjamin. . .

My little burrito!

In Daddy's arms. . .

Two versions: black-and-white and color. . .

Another bit of indecision. . .

I was glad I had my camera up and finger on the shutter release when Hayden decided to give Benjamin a kiss. I only captured one shot and I'm so glad to have it!

Isn't he a sweetheart!

2!

My baby is 2 years old! He uncharacteristically decided to cooperate with Mommy's photo shoot (the M&M bribe probably helped!) and I captured his goofy grin. . .

His sweet smile. . .

His toddler GQ pose. . .

And his sweet and soulful side. . .

Happy Birthday, my boy!

Lifesavers

That's what this family is. As our move grew closer and it became apparent that we were going to be homeless for 5 weeks, this wonderful family offered to share their home with us. . . two adults, one toddler, two cats, and a dog. The whole menagerie. Taking some family photos for them was the least I could do.

I don't know if they'll ever know how truly we thankful we are for their generosity. Now that we've settled into our new home, we miss having our roommates! We love you guys. . . you'll always have a place to lay your heads if you ever visit Montana!

9 years

Megan and Jeremiah just celebrated 9 years of marriage. They've actually been together for 14 years. And after 3 kids and all that time, they still know how to make each other laugh. I was a little nervous when Megan asked if I would do some photos for them. Babies don't need direction the same way that adults do, but adults also don't cry so much as babies, so it ended up going much better than I had hoped. Maybe it was just because the subjects were so comfortably and easily in love--the way that happens after being together 14 years--and it showed up so easily in the shots. I had a great time photographing them and hope they enjoy the results. Happy Anniversary, you two!
